Shouldn't we be trying to make the decision to actually go to the game easier? You people act as if they really had a choice. Although I don't work on the underwriting of college football stadiums, it is a specialty product written by a limited number of carriers. Your State Farm agent and Flo from Progressive can't bind coverage for something like Ford. If the underwriters want a change made, it is eventually going to happen. Underwriter: "we will add liquor liability coverage to the policy, but you will agree to [insert terms] or your premium and/or retention will increase by [#[deleted]]." Personally, I would rather see the extra premium go towards the promotions budget.
I guess my next question would be to ask why we're analyzing an industry trend that involves a major NFL stadium rather than looking at the trend for nearby D1 schools like TCU, UNT, etc. TCU fans have already weighed in that they don't have a policy like this, not sure about UNT.

I have voiced my opinion against this and the reason for it - it doesn't even affect me as i park on the boulevard and my wife at westcott, so if we forget it takes 5 min to toss her purse in the car. BUT, the ONLY reason I have been able to come up with in comparing us to similar regional programs is that an underwriter may have taken into consideration that the likelihood that a former United States President (who I admire, but many who would cause terror dislike greatly) would be in attendance at one of our games is fairly high. he was at roughly 20% of the home games at Moody, and about 1/3 of the football games in recent years.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I was wondering if that had something to do with it as well. I have never taken anything other than myself and my ticket into Ford, so I couldn't care less to be honest.

I just care in how it impacts the program as a whole - look at the big picture of attendance issues.

Oh definitely. I can see how this is going to [deleted] off a lot of people throughout the season which is exactly the last thing we need right now.

In a few years, Risk Management will decide that we can't attend games wearing pants that contain pockets.

Risk Management will change their mind when they are hit with personal injury law suits from fans when I show up naked.

At Jets games, we are allowed to carry in 1 bottle of water per person BUT they confiscate your bottle cap before they let you in. Apparently, a 20 oz bottle of water can be a weapon if it has a cap on it.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

International soccer matches are the same deal (or at least the Gold Cup is). You can't bring anything in, and what you buy doesn't have a cap on it.

Serious question. Why do you need to take anything into the stadium?

Some ladies take purses everywhere. Nothing wrong with that. Ladies usually do not use wallets.
