The sheer excitement of a full house!Moderators: PonyPride, SmooPower The sheer excitement of a full house!I respectfully disagree. I think it can be done now if handled right. The highest attendance figures for Northwestern was during their national record losing streak. You just need to sell the product, but obviously winning would certainly be a plus factor.
I think our biggest drawback now is the competition. We need area teams which of course are all boarded on a ship that has sailed. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
It looks like Moody garage is $30. I think it was $20 either one or two years a go.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house! Thanks. Moody garage was $20 last year, but if it went up then so be it.

GO MUSTANGS!!!!
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
I think you're right. The website says you can buy them ahead of time for $30 which I think was the price last year online too. But then it was $20 when we drove up if you didn't buy ahead of time. Kind of annoying after we already bought them. I'll be curious to see if the price mismatch is there this year too.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house! In the day and age of Uber why would you ever bother with this hassle?
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!DART is best way to get to football and basketball games by mile, IMO.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
Eh, not if you're bringing coolers, tents, chairs, and a BBQ to the boulevard and dropping it off at your spot. Otherwise, I would agree with you.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house! If we win all our games and 1 person attends, what matters?
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
I have posted before that I can almost never give away some pretty good tickets to non SMU/ casual college fans in the Dallas area. They definitely worry about parking, are generally unfamiliar with the Park Cities, and they hate 11:00 a.m. kickoffs. They also tend to support either UT or A&M and would rather stay home for those TV games. As far as SMU alums are concerned, Ford doesnt have nearly as many yard line seats in the West stands to satisfy their desires as Texas Stadium or the Cotton Bowl.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!Seems everyone is forgetting the dramatic spike in basketball attendance after the team started winning.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
this entire post is filled with excuses. Not enough yard line seats? Then why not buy up the east side? It's usually sparsely attended in conference. Damn sure there are tons of nice seats left there. Parking? It's easier to park there than for any other sports event in the entire town (TCU, Cowboy$, Mav$, Ranger$)! Moody, Airline, Law, Ownby, Fondren, VS and Umphrey, the church, Meadows, DART station....cheap excuse. 11 am kickoffs? Not happening this year. They are just being nice telling you that instead of "your team sucks dude and I don't want to go".
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
Yes a massive spike, from 2,000 to 7,500 in 2 years. Almost triple.
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
it's all about seating capacity. 4k increase in attendance meant a lot in hoops but will barely be noticed at Ford. We need to find another 10-15k interested Mustang fans
Re: The sheer excitement of a full house!
You're kidding right? We would be over the moon happy with an additional 4-5K fans per game for football coming off a 1-11 season. Back off Warchild seriously.

Very true. Just another excuse and reason to complain.
