And MeanGreen, you mentioned that we consider you (NT) important because of the number of views this thread has had??? Well......we have a thread on here about burgers that has been viewed over 2500 times. So using that logic, you only need about 1000 more views until we consider NT as important as burgers. Congrats.

Make those Mean Greenburgers and you'd triple the views on that thread. too!:)

I'll try to be humble, but DG, have you read my latest works, ie, "Humility & How I Attained It?"

Jim Donnan has the IQ of a butternut squash. ESPN doesn't care if you know what you're talking about so long as you work cheap.

Oh really? I thought it was "Memoirs of a Disloyal Alum: How I Discovered UNT Cannot Improve its Lot Without SMU's Help" with forward by the LaTech Board of Regents and the President of C-USA.

I figured you wouldn't have written, "How to make friends and influence people."

Look, here's the thing: SMU doesn't hate NT. We just don't care. If NT merited a spot in C-USA, maybe President Turner would have called on NT's behalf. Or perhaps NT officials should have called themselves, and presented their case. I'm genuinely happy for NT fans that you have a talented running back. But I don't care about that, either, because he's not going to face SMU. If he did, I'd pay more attention. So you have the best player in your league -- yippee! Throw him a party. Name a road in Denton after him. Re-name your stadium "Super Mario's Super-Duper Playground." Make everyone on campus wear a t-shirt with his picture and number on it. Hire a skywriter to tout him as "THE GREATEST RUNNING BACK SINCE ERRIC PEGRAM" if you want, or get a choir to sing his praises to cars passing on I-35. I think the majority of SMU fans (myself included) really harbor no ill will toward NT, and even wish you well, I suppose.

But this board is not affiliated with SMU or the selection committee for the Doak Walker Award. Do you really think ranting here will somehow get SortaSuperJamario on the Doak Walker Award list?

It's not going to happen.

Good luck in the Darrell Dickey Classic in New Orleans. (In fact, that's the only thing about NT that we do care about .... Coach Dickey and Coach Flanigan.)

UNT grad Dr. Phil (McGraw's) next community project as I understand it will be at the SMU campus. He can really help some of you people over there, really he can. :(

Really? You don't see us lurking on a NT board all day.
You need more to do.
Or a hobby.

MGG: I'm sure you mean well coming here to defend Thomas who you believe was treated unfairly. I respect you for that. It takes a lot of b@lls to visit another school's internet forum to do that. Maybe he was; maybe he wasn't. I have to admit I don't know the entire story.

I think we get a bit irked, however, when you start attacking how we are trying to keep our football program in 1-A. If UNT was in the same situation we are here, y'all might do the same thing.

MGM: If you're so damned passionate about this, have you taken the time to write a letter to the folks that matter? Like SMU's Athletic Director? or SMU's president? Or SMU's football coach? I doubt it because you'd rather take the time to come on here and post. Word of advice: we (ponyfans) don't care what you think. Go write a letter to the above folks and maybe you'll get some satisfaction.

Probably only those who reside in University Park?

Hellsbells, even over here in Fort Worth they are calling him, uh, "SUPER" Jamario! :)

6 ESPN+ televised games (and 1 national ESPN telecast) although costing us some home attendance numbers without a DFW black-out has created all but a new fan club for JThomas.

Obviously, yall haven't heard ESPN's Jim Donnan rave on and on about SJ? Of course, we know there would be no admittance of that if you did.

GMG!

hmm, well I don't live in University Park and I hate it. Listen, we know Jamario is a good back, did he get stiffed on the award, maybe, but put the SMU/UNT conspiracy theories to bed, it has grown tiresome.
