I'd be willing to bet Bower wouldn't touch this place w/ rubber gloves.

You're right, we do pay them. Therefore, they should be REQUIRED to treat us better. There's absolutely no reason those mental midgets should cheerlead for us, but there should be a station policy that says you don't bash us if we're paying you. Will never listen to that crap station again except during SMU road games.
Are you kidding. They are the Cowboys' flagship and that has never stopped them from ripping them.
are you serious? the ticket has been sucking up to the Cowboys since training camp and even last year. remember this drop in the ticket promos.... "we don't sit in the owner's back pocket" - well thats a pile of BS now. and be sure to listen to the "ultimate mental midget donnie do" and norm after each game? norm blows up on most callers that have anything negative to say about the cowboys..."no, no, no, no, no....." and now craig is scared of the cowboys front office since Jerry told him to "cut that crap" last january....craig was definitely humbled that day.
"No, no, no, no, no..." came in response to someone who suggested Wade Phillips should be fired. They were 8-1 at the time. I think that's pretty ridiculous too. They are not in the owner's back pocket. They still have fake Jerry, fake Wade and the entire season last year they were kicking Parcells in the teeth. My guess is you don't like the Ticket so you are spewing the line that everyone who hates them spews.
I do like the Ticket as I listen to them all the time but I am not like a lot of other P-1s that can't be objective about what they are - 90% bits, 10% sports. I can be objective and be some what critical. for instance, they break no news and just look at ESPN.com for breaking headlines - thats pretty simpleminded and elementary. they frequently talk out of both sides of their mouth - greggo, cocaine, and his rants against irvin in the 90s. this list goes on and on....
why defend them anyways....they love to dismiss SMU as a second class citizen with repect to their so-called "sport elitist" mindset.
i just call it the way i see it. don't drink their koolaid...think for yourself.

No I think he was a RB Coach. He was just a kid back then-not enough experience for Coordinator

The difference is they rip the Cowboys in jest, because they're the station's cash cow. They also have Romo and Wade Phillips nominated for sainthood, and would like them to run for Pope and President when they're done with their current jobs. They suck up to the Cowboys it's sick.
I really shouldn't drink and type.

Why not? He clearly was pushed out at Southern Miss. Think he wouldn't like a chance to stick it to his former employer?
I think he definitely should get some consideration.

It would probably help with the Turner connection at Southern Miss.

Not saying we shouldn't consider him, he's a great coach, I just think he might be used to a lot more freedom in recruiting than the other coaches on our "list," and therefore might not be the best fit for here, given our current situation.

Yes I heard a few players getting texts about a meeting today at 1530 - except it was not from the team trainer since well what would they know and none of them knows what the meeting is about. For all they know, it could be meeting with Adidas reps...

Does this make sense?
The team meeting today is to inform the players we are dismantleing the football program. We are going to turn Ford into a first class soccer facility and we are bringing back men's track and field to Westcott.
Sure answers a lot of questions.
Just send 'da money.

Very good point on the recruiting. That's how they ended up getting Antwain Easterling out of Miami Northwestern last year. BCS schools backed off after some sort of scandal, but Southern Miss said come on over.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
