Stallion wrote:It boils down to this-Georgia Tech has now lost 4 of its last 5 games against teams with at least 2 weeks to prepare for the "Genius"' offense. Iowa plays in a physical run oreinted conference whose defenses have players recruited to stop the run. Perfect matchup for Iowa. The Big 10 gets in trouble when they have to play against teams with wide open offenses with better athletes at skill positions. But when Penn St. gets LSU in two inches of mud, LSU's advantage is lost

Concur. Good analysis.

We're not doing anything "wrong". Our cheer and dance teams have won multiple national titles recently. Our old twirler was the national champion, and as I recall, our new one is top 5 or 10, I believe (somebody who knows, please chime in).

Probably half the girls that attend SMU were cheerleaders or drill team. As with everything, we need(ed) to start winning to engage the students. Hopefully a winning football team will attract more band, cheer, dance, etc. interest just like it attracts more interest from recruits.
