Thank you, NavyCrimson. I'm sure Dad would have enjoyed meeting you, too. He was the penultimate S.M.U. fan. I can only hope to be half the S.M.U. fan that he was.

I type S.M.U. because that's the CORRECT way to abbreviate Southern Methodist University, according to the Associated Press Style Book. Some reporters never die. They just lose their font.

Yes that is how you got both MM65 and Stallion. Damn I could have spouted the starting lineup at 8 including vital stats. At the age of 10 I questioned the recruitment of mrydel as a mere high school All District type.
