SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSBecause they just went on sale and the prices already went up before anybody ordered any? I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSI guess we will see how all of this plays out next fall. If there are a lot less empty seats then it was probably a good idea. If there are more empty seats or if they have to 'bus in the kids' to fill seats then probably not a good idea at this time.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSMaybe the next step is to start charging $50 to attend the Monday coaches luncheons.

Mustang Club lost money on the June Jones Luncheons, the Hotel charges $20 a person, and the MC charges the fans $15.
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
JStang I'm calling YOU out! You said if we went to a bowl game and won you would re-join the Mustang Club I take it your a man of your word.
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
Dang it GSP, you're making way too much sense!
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
Really? I'd pay the extra $5. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSNext thing we know- Dutch will raise the prices of the burgers at 1st&10.

Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
I went to those JJ lunches his 1st year, and there would be 10-15 people there with FREE food. At the last lunch, there were 300 fans there at $15 per person! This city is ready to win! Pony Up!
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
Jaws, how do you know they weren't flooded with calls about tickets? They have a policy where the current ticket holders have the right of first refusal and have a May 1 deadline to give them an answer. Then those seats will be freed up to those who want them. I understand we're anticipating a 20-25 percent bump in season ticket holders in 2010. Or at least that's the goal. We were at about 7,500. Of course, if you held season tickets you might be more in the loop. Be lucky you're not on a waiting list. BTW, my wife and talked about it this morning. We're keeping our seats and looking to add one more. Pony freaking up!!!
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
Nick, sent you a PM
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSGSP, you are on a roll! I couldn't agree more. I know some of you guys are chapped about the increase, but when exactly WOULD you be happy with an increase? 2 years in a row of winning? 3?
I sincerely hope that this doesn't chase you guys away from games, or from being a season ticketholder. But if you bought the season tickets requiring the lowest donation to the Mustang Club, would you not have better seats than if you just walk up every game? Also, think of it this way....for those of us that can actually itemize on our taxes, the good news is that they increased the deductible portion of our season tickets. Depending on your tax bracket, that drops the increase by 18-35%. Had they raised the ticket price itself, the full increase would hit our wallets. I certainly hope that the increase is deserved (i.e. more wins), but frankly, I am not surprised by this at all. This took about 10 seconds for my wife & I to decide that we were paying the increase, and my guess is that there are a lot more folks in that boat than those that won't renew their tickets.

I did and I will. Good call OTP. I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANS
Fair enough, I don't know that. Do you? I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: SMU ANNOUNCES NEW PRIORITY SEATING & PARKING PLANSI don't either but I'm prepared not to lose the seats that I've had since Ford opened.
Folks, I've said we can do in five years with football what TCU has done in 10. Well, we 're at a point where we can get this thing to a higher echelon. It's time for all this losing business to be in the rearview mirror. Do you guys really want to win or do you just want to talk about it and keep talking about. WHAT ARE YOU PREPARED TO DO?
