If the Big 12 adds one team, it's almost certainly BYU. If it goes bigger, to 12, Louisville, Cincinnati and West Virginia could be an interesting package. Oklahoma State president Burns Hargis also listed in-state schools like SMU, Houston and TCU, a favorite of T. Boone Pickens.

Big 12 school source says the key today isn't commissioner situation but finding stability "so we're not back here one year from now."

To me that tweet reads like this:

"We are going to hammer out some kind of legal document in writing that if anyone at this table leaves in the next 5 years they will forfeit all TV revenues during that time period."

The conference needs an ironclad, legal agreement to stick together. For the life of me I don't know why they didn't do this last year.
