Maybe a nice gin and tonic would help with the landing.
He wants to stay awake to keep up with all this exciting news that keeps coming over the wire. Any second now we are going to find out that we are SEC Bound!!!! [Lefty, I'm being sarcastic...]

I like his point about subtraction by division, very true and insightful.

I kind of feel sorry for him for making such an elaborate case and receiving so few responses.

hmmm, funny how only one of those supports our program. SW iv'e only seen on Stampede and does Dr Pepper do anything anymore - I don't think we have tapped into the corporate opportunities in Dallas at all.
Was just posting this as well. AA appears to be our airline sponsor, not Southwest. http://smumustangs.cstv.com/sponsorship ... tners.html
We take SW charter planes - now that I think about it, I hear AA commercials mostly during bball season. Nothing from ATT that I know of.

interesting notion about corporate sponsorships.
more than anything else, sec teams would love a chance to roll in to Dallas every other year.

...but you have to love... It's inevitable...when (not if) the Big XII collapses, Baylor is going to be left out. Adding SMU allows Baylor to fill their spot in the Conference-USA. It may not be ideal, but it fits geographically and Baylor fans can take some solace in renewing rivalries with old SWC foes Rice and Houston.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

So long for the Ford, all of our games would move to Cowboys Stadium

Just during the Ford construction phase.

I just fail to see the correlation between large corporate sponsors being based in Dallas and SMU's viability as a candidate. As someone pointed out earlier, they're not even supporting us now. Can you imagine the outcry across the South if word got out that Slive and company were even remotely considering SMU?

Don't you know Tulane is kicking themselves right now - having pulled out of the SEC years ago. They could have been the vandy of the west.
