Don't you think it's a little naive to think of SMU as a destination job at this stage of the game? Who do you think we could get that would want to stay in this situation indefinitely?
What coach would not sniff at another job if offered?

Not sure anyone is implying that, but gt a guy in here for 4-5 years and let him build a program, who knows maybe we start getting some extra cash and we can pay him...

Well, and we were all sold on this being a "special calling" for June Jones and how it was not about money or the BCS, but about a higher goal and blah, blah, blah. He was supposed to be here for 5-7 years to "rebuild this program." Remember?

And the reason is Jones, and you want to throw him out with the bathwater. And he's been here four years, based on your timeline shouldn't we expect him to be looking now? Franchione went sooner than that and left a pretty good TCU program for Patterson, to use your example.

I mean, if there is a new regime, I can't say that's a bad idea. Not HC or offensive coordinator, though. That's a failed experiment that's been tried.

JJ was right guy right time, and defn partially responsible, but lets give a lot of credit where its due, GJFord, Carl Sewel, Paul Lloyd, C of C....I trust those guys are making the right decisions and as long as they are around we will be fine...
