But the most important question.....can he coach?

The most important question is.......can he recruit? Would he fall towards the June Jones/Mike Riley side of the spectrum (coach em up philosophy, zombie-like demeanor, lightweight recruiter) or would he be more like Pete Carroll/Jim Mora (tireless recruiter, energetic player's coach). It's always tricky with these guys that don't have extensive college backgrounds.

If you watched him at all during his short time in SF, zombie-like demeanor is just not in this guy's personality. He's definitely a kick-ass, in your face type of coach. Now the recruiting piece I don't know as it hasn't been a part of his coaching background to date, so making sure he gets surrounded by a staff that can do the heavy lifting in that area would be critical. Don't know if there's a chance in Hades that he'd even take the phone call, but damn I could get behind this idea.

More important...can he recruit?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
