My feeling exactly. It's not a protest (I gave mine up).

I just don't want to pay for "entertainment" that makes me miserable for days.

I didn't renew my seats...just not that interested at this time. Probably won't be interested this football season either. :(

For what very little it's worth, I completely understand why someone wouldn't renew. When I thought about it, I made the decision to renew for several reasons:

1) It's not our players fault that JJ has quit.
2) When the stands are empty, it's SMU -- not JJ -- that looks stupid and small time.
3) I get to take great comfort in knowing JJ will be gone come December.

Perhaps not the best reasons to renew, but...

Not showing up for football games/renewing seats makes SMU, not June look bad.

With a multi-year contract there is no GUARANTEE he will be gone at the end of the season. The used car dealer that wanted to keep him may continue to do so and could continue to exert his pressure on those who are happy with mediocrity. :(

We will have to see how recruiting will play out this year. He knows he is on the hot seat with the fans, but he just hired Steve Broussard from UCLA, and he had a great track record at ASU recruiting wise. I think Klemm leaving really messed up recruiting for us and we paid for it with dismal 2012,2013 and 2014 classes. Hopefully we see a change in the commitments we get starting now. June knows his time is running out, we will have to see how committed he is to winning and making us a ranked program like Larry has done for us in Basketball.

Definitely true, however continuing to buy them tells the Athletic Department that "status quo" is acceptable. You would think that there would be motivation to follow suit in Football after the powers that be see the positive exposure the basketball team has brought the university. This coupled with the boost of moral on campus warrants the commitment to taking the program to the next level. As we all know, this will not happen as long as JJ is here so why spend the money to watch JV football.

I had 6 season tickets 2 years ago, then down to 4 last year and now down to zero. I decided to cancel for next year when June cancelled the game with Baylor last year. Win or lose, I don't care about watching Montana State and if we aren't going to compete, I at least want to see teams that I would enjoy watching. If June wants to approach our season in that manner, why should I get excited? Now that UL left for the ACC, kind of hard to warrant spending the money on big showdowns with Cincy and UConn.
