He's not locked up in a press box like almost every other AD. He's out on the sidelines, and I've seen for two straight weeks now trying to get the crowd involved and cheering on the team right beside them.
Firing JJ as his first move would've been ridiculously stupid. He has his chance now to make his mark, whether he's just a figure head for whomever is actually in charge or not.
End of the fourth quarter Hart was walking down to stand on the sidelines until the end of the game. He walked through the student section (what was left of it) for some reason on his way to the field. While he did he told multiple students thanks guys for staying we all really appreciate it. I thought it was a nice gesture.

To be honest, I wasn't surprised that was his reply to me. I guess making it to a mediocre bowl is something that should make us proud. SMH.

The new coach must pull a Larry Brown and walk hand in hand with the SMU community. Hopefully, players come with the head coach and another few with the assistants. This can happen!
Thank you TidePony, I've said the same in multiple other threads. Right coach, new scheme, QB to fit the scheme, we will compete very well in the AAC. The difference in the locker room the day the rest of the June cult vacates the SMU campus will be astounding.

I'm not there, so I don't know what happens on campus. But, the more I hear the more I think JJ built a cult and more or less had the players against the school. "Play for each other, the school doesn't care"........ I believe he drove a wedge between the players and the rest of the school. All the better we get rid of everything associated with this cult.

he was a colonel kurtz, hart successfully decapitated him, now we should eat his liver. if he stayed any longer it would have been a jim jones situation.
The ncaa is a R.I.C.O.

His liver probably isn't any good. Congratulations to Hart. Now he needs to finish the job.

And unfortunate that these tweets were fired off today because I really enjoyed the "Mustangs in the NFL" montage on the scoreboard today.
Total class. Must have rejected the cult of June. Good for him.

He has an SMU hat in almost every photo he posts on social media. Guy represents well. Class act. I'm a die hard Cowboys fan and I was a huge fan of Cole until today. Really disappointed.

Wonder if Beasley is really jealous...he went from Jones and Turner to Garrett and Jones and the Cowboys while Morstead gets Peyton and Benson and the Saints. Cole could develop into the ultimate demotivational speaker, specializing in being a [deleted] while working for one.

This is when you need the AD to pick up the phone and call these guys. Call dickerson, beasley, etc and get them involved. Ask for their input and get them to be part of the solution. Thats what I would try anyway.

Yep it is really bad news if ponyfans (representation of our dedicated fans) is fighting with some of our most recent best players.

Probably should give Reed, Beasley & Dickerson a break. Between the 3 of them they've probably had about 30 concussions which has obviously turned their brains to mush and left them susceptible to the brainwashing cult of Juneses. It's not their fault they're so stupid.

Holy sh#t....a constructive thought! Almost like you took leadership 101 and didn't pray for them to curve the final. All joking aside, would love to know whether outreach like this has happened. I believe it has, because I trust in Hart and because this is such an easy solution to address the problem. You reach out to these guys and then allow that to be known, because if you have been asked for your opinion and input and still post this crap, it makes you look that much worse. Give them that little piece of ownership and a part of the solution and you eliminate bad PR.

Thats what I would try anyway. Please, we've heard this one before, no Thanks. Let's take the dumbest and most brainwashed of the entire Juneses cult and invite them in to 'help' the program? WTF I say no negotiating with terrorists. Better to blow up their home with a drone!
