I'm hoping we can figure a way to win 6 and go to a bowl. That would be quite a year.

How do we string together a few seasons of 10 wins before the decision in October?

Broker the deal with the NCAA that in order to make up for the Death Penalty, they vacate all of our post-DP losses. Not sure how you get the wins, but we can always just state we are undefeated since the DP.

But we would pull recruits away from the other schools - especially TCU and BU. Academic prestige: Clearly the best of the potential applicants.
So I see TCU and BU voting no. TCU especially loves being the big dog over SMU. BU the same to a lesser degree. TTU probably votes no because of recruiting competition. Other than that you can see yes votes
But we are a major long shot. Only get in if they add 4 schools.
Maybe UT and OU push to add 4 schools so the conference will survive - thus limiting the political fallout - when they leave and leave OSU and TTU behind. TCU definitely likes being the big dog over SMU in the DFW area and would vote no. I also think this staff can pull recruits form mid to lower level P5 teams where the precious staff could not thereby leaving us in the mess that Coach Morris is trying to dig SMU out of cureently. If it is a simple majority vote that is needed SMU would have a better chance for sure.
Curious how you found out that TCU will "definitely" vote no. I have seen others with credible sources say something quite different. Not flaming, honestly curious if this is strictly opinion or you are making this statement based on something real?

Strictly an opinion as I don't have any inside track at TCU. TCU / Ft. Worth has always had a chip on their shoulder about SMU /Dallas. I know many of their fans - who are graduates and donors - and they are loving the fact that TCU is big time sports and we are not. TCU competes with SMU for students and they use their Big 12 membership as a significant selling tool. So knowing that I would assume the TCU administration would reflect the views of their fans and want to maintain the "edge" in sports. I certainly don't know that as a fact.

Speaking for myself I have always felt like Rebel10 is very plugged in and has access to a lot of inside information.

I would tend to agree with that.

Though apparently TCU lobbied for SMU to the Big East way back when. Probably as a travel partner and that wouldn't be such a necessary move within the Big XII. I see no reason why TCU would be friendly towards SMU

Sure but at the same time they were lobbying for TCU out of the Big East

Their Head Coach said so. He said that he is done helping us. I think that was about 4-5 years ago.
