SMU vs TCU attendance?Moderators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: SMU vs TCU attendance?Agreed. I was sure it would be canceled. Shows what i know.
Re: SMU vs TCU attendance? At one point I was hoping this game would be cancelled but given our 1st half performance I was glad it wasn't. That 1st half gave me hope for this season, even though I was pretty sure I knew what was coming in the 2nd half.

Nailed it
Re: SMU vs TCU attendance? When it rains for a two hour delay + 3 hours of tailgating, it much easier for fans to leave when at home versus on the road. Drive back 30 minutes versus from TCU in rain and traffic 1.5hrs. I really thought the game would cancel but I also knew we would lose in the 2nd half badly.

You're, what is the word, omniscient. I think that means, you must know everything.
Re: SMU vs TCU attendance?
I’m thinking statistical. We can go with omniscient too. ![]() Last edited by SMU_Alum11 on Sat Sep 08, 2018 4:39 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: SMU vs TCU attendance?Lowest attendance for TCU since Ford Stadium was built? Of course, walk up sales were probably non-existent given the weather conditions
Re: SMU vs TCU attendance?22,416 when we beat TCU in 2005
Re: SMU vs TCU attendance?
They made everyone leave the boulevard at a little after 5, I think it was. So from the end of the boulevard to kickoff was over 3 and a half hours of waiting around. Unless you are a diehard SMU fan, you are going home. You are way more likely to stay if your team is ranked, or at the very least, somewhat competitive. I don't think I can emphasize this enough when I tell you how awful it was to get soaked, get attacked by ginormous crickets (everything is bigger in Texas), get soaked some more, and lose bigly. Re: SMU vs TCU attendance?Exactly. I couldn't agree more. The only way you can have a large population of die hard fans is if you are actually competitive. I'm still not seeing SD as any more than just a recruiter and I've always seen that for a new coach that their first recruiting class is always their best because of playing time, etc. I feel the play calling is very similar to June and it makes me sick that Rick went for a guy that no one else wanted. Everyone say "Oh but Sonny is committed to being here long-term" and that's because he know this was the only person handing out an offer.
Given from what I heard about him and the team walking off while the band was playing Varsity just confirms that he's here for the paycheck and not long-term success. Insert "this is fine" GIF
