This is not the kind of team you would expect after seeing JJ's teams at Hawaii. This does not even resemble the R&S.

I was hoping the R&S had evolved to include more of a run, but this is just a confusing mess.

you've got to be kidding, right? Only question for this season is whether McDermott is now the starter until he tanks. If that becomes the plan, KP will certainly be a quality backup. This is a senior laden team and this team should compete for the CUSA championship we may have dreamed, but most of us knew coming in that we would probably lose to both A$M and TCU. We have tough CUSA games against Houston, Tulsa, USM and UCF but we should at least be more competitive with those teams a blowout loss like this is a character tester; let's see if the guys respond or let this very disappointing loss ruin their season
The prospect of having a minimally experienced senior QB get all the playing time this season would be disappointing. Disappointing because we would face the exact same situation next season with KP being a 1 year minimally experienced QB. We really need to get KP's head screwed back on and try to salvage this season with a positive view to next season.

Ok! Let's keep it under 50 guys! I'm actually guessing players will be happy with McD going forward. Far better he comes in and dis at least ok and we moved the ball than Kyle krapping all over the place for another week

I would put Padron in for a last drive, in all honesty.

No one forces the kicker to hit himself with the ball and no one forces the QB to badly overthrow a wide open man.

Really? This seems exactly like the SMU team I've watched the last few years. When you need them to show up the most, they don't.
The type of team that we have been used to last 2 years is one that pees the bed against legit teams and even some lesser teams but has just been good enough to get to some bowls. We were just 15-12 the past 2 seasons.
Unfortunately that's the truth. The one time I felt proud of the SMU team during a loss was last year's match against TCU. They were up in the 3rd quarter and were eventually beaten out by a more physical TCU team. But last year we should have won against a UTEP, Navy, a Keenum-less Houston, and definitely Army. It's those losses, and this lack of effort and focus that have me convinced for another 7-5 season (if we're lucky!).

Someone call Dr. Carleton Maxwell to help KP's psyche. Can't believe my 1,000th post is a call to Dr. Carleton Maxwell.

Why do people presume Kyle's head will ever be screwed on straight? Dis he even play senior year at SLC? How many varsity games did he start?
