Go Clemson tonight...hope they get a chance to defend their title. Daughter and son-in-law attending while Mrs CP & I babysit. Will watch Clemson game and Big 10 game during commercials...until the Mustangs come on, of course! Then Clemson gets "commercial" time

I was able to attend the AAC Championship game we played at UCF years ago but don't remember as strong a crowd as they had today. I don't think our game sold out and there were plenty of empty seats near the SMU section. Memphis made a better showing but that was no surprise...larger school and closer to Orlando

Clemson would much rather play OSU but I think a 1 loss Bama team is better than that 2 loss OSU team. I think I saw where Vegas would favor Bama against all the others with Clemson only a 1 point dog.

I think it should be the teams mrydel listed but will not be surprised to see Alabama bump Ohio State.

I think Bama’s lost to Auburn hurts a bit more when Georgia blows them out the next week. SEC West not as strong as people think?

I do agree the committee will feel pressure to include Ohio State so at least 4 of the 5 P5 conferences are represented and I think it will also help TV ratings and after all, isn't that what it's all about? Meanwhile, we will be hearing replays of Saban's discussion about how important it is to "win your conference" as part of qualifying for the playoffs.

I think there should be a rule that requires a conference championship to qualify for the playoffs. In order for a group of five team to earn the New Year’s 6 Bowl it has to win it’s conference. Why should the P5 be any different? If competition on the field will be ignored and teams are ranked based on the eye test, why even play the games? I don’t think there is any question Houston was by far the best Group of 5 team last year and yet their losses to us and Navy were not overlooked in favor of Western Michigan that later got destroyed in their bowl game.

I don't think you can honestly differentiate between USC and Ohio State and so I don't think Ohio State belongs, but I don't think Alabama belongs either. I really believe if Alabama played Georgia in the conference championship they probably would have lost again and so why give them a pass? They were already eliminated from the playoff in conference play. This would be the perfect year to give an undefeated UCF a chance to prove themselves.

Actually there are potentially far more Big 10 viewers than Bama fans so I really thought the TV people wanted Ohio State

Im sure Ohio State fans are none to please but I didn't think they would make final four no matter what
