I think they're used to be a football team that used their 7' reciever as a joke. Put him out there, draw coverage and BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE

Ha ha, I love it.

My favorite part (besides Boom Goes The Dynamite) is at the end when they thank him for the report, the tension is palpable.

On the recruiting PDF SMU has on their website, it says we play @USM, @Memphis, and host UCF.

I originally predicted 5-7 but with Rice's issues, I'll upgrade to 6-6.

Tech - We can all be hopeful. We might can pull out a win if our line can rush Harrell and our secondary can keep up. Playing to win, might be a good idea , too. This is probably a loss though.

UNT - I just can't see us losing to them twice in a row. The guys were really upset after last year. We are returning the favor. Win.

Ark St - Ark St will be itching for revenge after last year, but we should win this.

TCU - As much as I hate this, we probably won't win this game. It's on their turf. We rub that 21-10 in their face all the time, they will be wanting pay back for ruining their chance at the BCS.

Rice - Too many changes, too much chaos. Rice got a shot to the groin in the offseason. They will be still keeled over. Win.

Houston - Who knows how Houston will play without Kolb. They more than likely won't be able to convert on 4 downs as easily and will have to rely on their punter. They still have Alridge and that alone is frightening. Toss up.

Tulsa - New coach, lots of hype. Paul Smith is back with Tennial and Adams, but they have major holes to fill on OL and in the receiver area. Another toss up.

Tulane - Lost Ricard and the defense is terrible. Win

UTEP - Lost a lot of offensive power with Palmer and Higgins. Defense was weak last year. Hopefully no suspensions for this game again. Win.

UCF - Wasn't so hot last year. Struggled defensively and offensively. Win.

Memphis - 2-10 last year. Struggled all around. Win.

USM - Going to be tough to compete with USM in the battle that baffles the national media. Probably a loss.

Probably a 7-5 or 8-4. Fall can't come soon enough...

Tech - Last year, Tech had a really down year and still managed to push us around. Remember 3 years ago on our turf when we were hanging right with them for 3 quarters -- yeah. Tech has to replace Filani, Hicks and a lot of their O-Line. Most all of Tech's standouts were Seniors. Glaring problem facing SMU -- our D-Line will be pretty much brand new against monsters that Tech will have up front. Loss.

UNT - New coach, new system, lost their standout WR, Jamario still around. There is no way we lose this in my mind. IMO, Dodge will be nothing special as a HC. Win.

Ark St - Supposedly, Ark State plays well at home but 55-9 -- come on. Win.

TCU - Last time we played TCU @ TCU, we got blasted. TCU has to reload quite a bit. They are foaming at the mouth for payback but I think that next year's TCU team will be weaker than usual. Still a probable loss.

Rice - They don't really lose a lot, but they made a crappy, crappy HC hire and their team will be saving all they have for Tulsa. Win.

Houston - Houston will be a tough game and it will be back in Houston where we beat them at the end 2 years ago. Replacing Kolb will be a interesting to watch, but their offensive scheme doesn't require a year. The thought of Aldridge breaking outside makes me want to throw up but their team has a bit of rebuilding to do. Toss up.

Tulsa - Paul Smith is THE most overrated QB in the conference. 2 years ago, we gave this game away vs Tulsa @ Tulsa. I would give us the edge, but it is @ Tulsa. Toss up.

Tulane - We let them slide back into it last year and 2 years ago they beat us at home. This year, without Ricard and a new HC, Tulane is in trouble. Win.

UTEP - We get them at home and they lost JLH and Palmer. Next year, we might be lining up against former FSU QB Lorne Sam and former 5 star FSU WR Fred Rouse. These guys will have a lot of talent but I think that we will beat them in our house. Win.

UCF - Had an off year last year and I don't see them jumping back to the top next year with their talent. Win.

Memphis - Great basketball, not great football at the moment. Win.

USM - Hattiesburg will be a really hard place for us to show up and win at next year. Fletcher is their Willis and he is a great RB. We will need a constantly improving D-Line to play big in this game and some luck. Probable Loss.

7-3 and 2 toss ups.
Give me 8-4!
