Orsini didn't want to keep Vic, or he could have come up with the money — it's not like it would have taken June Jones money.

Wait — maybe this is his plan to bring back some of the people he put in the unemployment line... Or to hire more people to work ticket windows and concession stands to make the gameday experience better for fans... Or maybe re-create a marketing budget ... Or a marketing department ... Or advertise the teams around Dallas so we don't have to see publicity only for Frog High and North Texas State Vocational School ...

Doubt it.

OK, maybe you have a point.

If that's the case, he needs to tell us what the increased cost is going to cover. Better equipment? Fine. Indoor practice facility? Fine. Actual marketing so people in Dallas know when SMU has games? Fine. But if they want us to pay more, they need to justify it. A lot of us have faithfully bought season tickets for years, even decades, despite a team that didn't win very often. I understand that costs continue to rise in every aspect of life, but the economy has sucked for several years now, and this move is not the way to thank loyal fans who have supported the team when times were at their toughest.

How do you that orsini didnt want to keep Villoria? You got a memo or email verifying that? One other note, Pollyanna -- college athletics is a business. Either buy your tickets or stand down and somebody else will gladly have them. SMU has to make money too. So suck it up and deal with it,

Not allowed under some CUSA rule.

I beg to differ. Wilshire and I have had seats in 124 since the second year the stadium was open. The first year, we were a section higher.

124 is Home seating. Only CUSA rule is that that cannot be student seating or band seating.

I stand corrected. I do now recall that it was the students or band we wanted to move there to ride the opposing team.

mrydel, please rest assured that I do that enough.

just kidding, i don't hassle the kids, just the refs periodically.

and cliff kingsbury when he played here. i think i reminded him that there were no "int's" in "heisman" after we picked him off the second time. his OL didn't seem to like that.

So... two tickets down in 104 breaks down to about $226.00 a game or $113.00 a seat per game.
When I give an extra seat away this year, I am going to do it only to perspective Season Ticket holders. If you wont consider that you won't be sitting with me free.

I have to wonder if maybe a campaign to fill the usually empty seats would not have been better than raising prices to the loyal fans. There is a simple theory called supply and demand. With a lot of empty seats does it really make sense to raise the prices like Orsini did? Normally when demand rises then prices rise as well. From the couple of games I was able to attend last year I can not say that demand outstripped capacity.

Do you guys really want to win or do you just want to talk about it and keep talking about.

WHAT ARE YOU PREPARED TO DO?
