This will definitely help TCU to get further ahead of SMU in recruiting.

They effectively dispel the "small living alumni base" that so many of us like to cling to....there has to be at least 35,000 frogs there.

I honestly think if we played in the Rose Bowl, or any BCS bowl, we would take a bunch of people. everybody that has even thought about being an SMU fan would be there. I don't think they have 35,000 people there, but probably 20,000 or so.

Why the need to knock their attendance? The Rose Bowl holds 92,000 or so, and if you look at the aerial shots they have no less than 40% of the crowd. There is no way they have less than 30,000 out there, and they most likely have quite a few more.

I think they were already there.

We just have to keep doing what we're doing and make progress every day on and off the field. That's what happens when you build a program.

86, I don't know what you're deal is lately but you've turned into a real sourball. That's not like you.

Not being a pessimist nor an optimist just a realist. I know they are already there but I am saying they will move even further ahead in recruiting than they already are. That is not good for us. We need a win over TCU in the next 4 years. That may not happen now.

We can't control what TCU does. We need to focus on making ourselves better while at the same time learning from the Boises, Utahs, and TCUs of the world in how they became big name programs.

Worrying about how much their success hurts us does nothing to improve our lot - stop worrying and keep supporting your team.

it's ok to wear black if you only have one other color, we already have the 2 best colors

in America, we don't need to look ugly just because they do.

Yup - focus needs to be not on what others are doing. Focus on getting things done and do it in the right way and we won't need to worry about what happens on the west side of the metroplex.

86, I'm not arguing that. They've had about a 10-year start on us.

The important thing that we have to do is just continue to get better, win our league and dominate and then keep getting better as a program. That's all we can do.

On paper, we have a pretty good recruiting class coming and our last class == on paper == was fairly decent. If the plan is to get Fields to play LB, I like that. Speed is important.

I was more irritating by you proclaiming the two-year bowl run was over. Do you have the 2011 record handy? I don't have it. I have no idea how the CUSA games against Memphis, UH, Tulsa, UCF and So. Miss will go. How do we know we won't be able to stay on the field with those guys?

Go play the games and see what happens.

Sure hope JJ give KP a little more leverage next year. That's assuming KP continues to improve and be able to read the defense and all that comes with it.

Fun with Twitter...
BFeldmanESPN: Tank Carder making a HUGE hit. Talked to him on Thurs. Said he camped at LSU & SMU, won awards but neither offered. Said he was too small.
