Re: Garret Gilbert transferring to SMU1. I think he transfers in January, sits out the 2012 season and is eligible for 2013 after being on campus for 1.5 years (some of which, admittedly, will be rehabbing.
2. My understanding is that players have five years to play four — AFTER WHICH a player can apply for a medical hardship if a season was cut short by injury ... but there is no assurance that he'll get it. Anyone know if I'm inaccurate on that?
