the egg heads happy and pretend to support sports at the same time.

Good luck with that! 120+ schools are looking for players with that profile so you'd better find a way to differentiate yourself quickly!

2) All 2-star players need to be good enough students to reduce the workload on our "support" system; and

Fair enough. But if you aren't winning battles for higher rated recruits, this group becomes more competitive.

3) All walk-ons must be good students.

Until we start sending 3-5 star players away, June's "academic" excuse doesn't hold water. Let's say we manage to sign the next RGIII/Manziel and he needs academic help. There is no reason that we cannot promise (and deliver) the academic support that he needs.
