Mex - you are just wrong, as usual. There will be a line down the block for this job - most of which will be young up and comers, some of which will be last stoppers. Either category would yield more than we have now. We blend in an aggressive young football program with this basketball program and we start making ourselves look pretty attractive to another conference when you add in the Dallas market. But we have to fix football, and average bowl games achieved by getting creamed by our in state neighbors and then winning just barely 6 games against poor competition while golfing all spring does not cut it.

You think our basketball transfers were academic rock stars? Frazier?

June has been all about excuses his entire career. Hawaii wouldn't do this for me. Atlanta wouldn't do this. SMU's lights are turned the wrong way. We cant run in behind a small horse.

June is not stuck with us. We have been stuck with him. Cant wait to turn the page.

STALLION'S ANNUAL CHALLENGE

in year 7 of the June Jones' era name a single player who has started a single game at the Division 1A level who was a full qualifier under NCAA rules but denied admission to SMU?

ANSWER:_______________________

Still waiting for someone to logically make the case that June Jones has been handicapped based on the actual evidence. Remember June Jones has actually SIGNED about 15-20 players who have failed to qualify under NCAA rules and waited on many more to see if they could qualify late after signing date. SMU offers many of these kids more than a year before their actual admission.

The Dave Campbell guys seem to think this is a huge deal and that Davis is likely the starter this year, which I agree with.

“@dctf: In the new DCTF Podcast, we talk NFL Draft, Elite 11 camp, Matt Davis to SMU and much, much more. http://ow.ly/wEmR0 #txhsfb”

Davis and SMU are talked about 2:30-8:00 of the podcast.

Oh, I agree. Just saying that it doesn't slow the game down to a 4+ hour game.

That doesn't lengthen the game unless the game clock is stopped. Let's take a look at the length of SMU games versus the length of Houston games...I think you will agree that Houston uses very little of the playclock:

**Used 2012 since at SMU the walk of shame didn't exist in 2013**

2012 SMU:
@ Baylor 3:45
vs SFA 3:30
vs A&M 3:36
vs TCU 3:39
@ UTEP 3:15
@ Tulane 3:20
vs Houston 3:50
vs Memphis 2:54
@ UCF 3:00
vs USM 3:12
@ Rice 3:14
vs Tulsa 3:53
vs Fresno 3:24

Average time: 3:12

2012 UH:
vs Texas State 3:03
vs Louisiana Tech 4:08
@ UCLA 3:21
@ Rice 3:31
vs UNT 3:07
vs UAB 3:36
@ SMU 3:50
vs UTEP 3:15
@ ECU 3:43
vs Tulsa 3:35
@ Marshall 3:29
vs Tulane 3:45

Average time: 3:32

You know how Friday early evenings are. One must wait for someone else to "get ready" before you can do any sort of activity.
