Nice to pull that one out but talk about winning ugly! Thank goodness for that Stone to Maryland chemistry and good defensive play when it was needed. Nevada kick return guy's muffed fair catch really turned this thing around late. Both teams made tons of mistakes but we just have to be happy to get the W when virtually everyone assumed this would be a W for SMU

We did everything we could to give them the game in the first 3 quarters. But the final score and the injury report are all that matter.

This displayed a not small amount of intestinal fortitude. Yes, from Mr. Stone first and he would be the first to admit it and probably will. But so many chances to just mail it in and the team didn't.

Trap game early, work out kinks next week and then we see. But I'm encouraged by that too often used phrase: "intestinal fortitude" tonight.

Wow, that was really stressful. With 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter I thought we were going to lose. Very glad they pulled it out. Lots to work on this week. Stone seemed to find his game in the 4th and Maryland was awesome.

Coaches will have plenty to fuss about on Monday...I'll bet the O-Line gets chewed out so much they won't sit till next Saturday.

Down 11, on our own 2...man. I really struggled seeing why I spent my time and money flying all the way over here to see us lose to THAT team.

They reminded me why the rest of the way.

Game was awful from the very first throw...but at the end of the day, we figured out a way to win and take advantage when we could.

It was as first game mistake heavy as you could get...but I much rather our boys we watching the film back after a W than a L. Gutsy win.

I think before the game I heard that Nevada had 52 new players plus the new coach. Obviously no one knew what to expect from their team. Hoping the kinks are worked out and we stop w/the penalties.
