What are your thoughts on the score of the smu v tech game?

I say 35 to 38 SMU

In order for SMU to win, we are going to have to keep Tech's offense off the field. If we do that, it will be a relatively low scoring game. This prediction is premised upon our being successful at that.

SMU 24
Tech 21

Our offense is not totally up to speed on Coach Burn's offensive scheme...so a wild explosion of SMU offense and points will be a suprise if it happens at this point in the season. Hopefully the defense will be much improved over last year.

I know you guys are just pumped up for the season, which we need more of, but predictions almost inevitably become expectations. Lets not do that this year.

To pull the upset, we will need a little luck. Whichever new QB plays for Tech will need to turn the ball over, either via interception or fumble. And we'll need Blake Warren to take at least one back all the way. And of course, Foy Munlin will need a huge game, but I'm expecting that, anyway.

Chris Urbanus had better be ready. Sporting News called Tech DE Adell Duckett the second-best pass rusher in the country.

And Humphrey, Akinyemi, Brandon Jones, Lindley, Haynes, etc., had better be able to run all day. You know Leach is going to look at the corners and think "hmmm .... one junior who's played a lot, a transfer who sat out last year, a JC transfer and two freshmen. Taurean Henderson: take the day off - we're throwing all day."
As if they wouldn't do that, anyway.

So your saying that SMU fans should not have any expectations? I guess your one of those fans who is happy that we have one of the worst performing programs in the country. If you don't play to win, then why even play?

Yea, I'm thrilled about the programs performance, really thrilled. I think and expect SMU to put up a hell of a fight on Sept 4, but based on reality, predicting a win at this point just sounds silly and starts the cycle we see with the fans and this board all over again. Tell us your prediction Snob.
