Donald Mitchell's autograph @ Dallas Camp in Ventura -

Postby NavyCrimson » Tue Aug 17, 2004 5:03 pm

well - let me preface this whole comment that i hate the pokes - plain & simple & the %^$$ that owns them - however - nuff said -

my wife took my son along with a few other mothers to their camp in Ventura County today to watch them practice - its about 25 min from the house -

i gave my son - chase - one of those soft-cloth footballs with the SMU name & logo on it so donald could sign it -

well - yes-sirree-bob he did!!! he was only one of five today that actually reached out to the youngsters with autographs - furthermore, my wife said he was sooooo nice & friendly - she couldn't believe it!!!! needless to say - she wasn't expecting it & rightly so!!!!

the rest - she said - were just plain rude in general - she said they have this snobbish 'greater-than-thou' attitude & u know what i mean!!!

so my hats off to mitchell for his professionalism, friendliness & downright class!!! he's a class-act for sure!!!

he's a great ambassador for SMU & God knows the cokeboys need him!!!

(on a side note - where can i find a picture of him? any websites i can copy & paste something?) thanx in advance.

N&C: One thing you can say about *most* Mustang football alumni is that they're CLASSY! And Donald Mitchell is carrying on the tradition. Glad to hear that your son was able to get his autograph in such a fine fashion. That will be one of his great memories for years to come.

mustang65 -

u remind me of notre dame's 'subway' fans!

i have a financial planner friend who did not attend & he's a FANATIC much like u are of SMU!!!

u remind me so much of him - he's got sooo much notre dame %^$# in his office & he's 56!!!!

& like u - their subway fans seem to be bigger fans than the alumni -

God Bless You!!!

Mitchell was a great guy at SMU, and he's the only Dallas player I root for now. Hope he has a huge season.
