Allan Adami \"Unplugged\"!!!

Postby MrMustang1965 » Thu Aug 19, 2004 3:14 pm

Throughout the 2004 football season, SMU senior defensive lineman Allan
Adami will be giving Mustang fans an inside look at SMU football in his
new online feature - Allan Adami Unplugged.

Adami will stop by smumustangs.com and address the Pony nation on the
latest information both on and off the field surrounding SMU football.
Be looking for the feature on smumustangs.com.
Here's his first entry:

Two a day workouts officially ended Wednesday. We capped off all of our
hard work with a scrimmage in the morning. From day one it feels like
we have a new team on the Hilltop. Everyone is competing for playing
time on the field, and I don't think that anyone's position is safe until
Sept. 4th against Texas Tech. The offense has made tremendous strides
since first learning the new program during spring ball. Receivers are
catching the ball all over the field. That doesn't mean, however, that
the defense is slacking up. The "Stang Gang" is now in their third year
under Coach Bennett's defensive scheme and are becoming much more
confident in their reads and fits. There have only been positives during the
practices and it feels like the team is starting to become a family,
all the way from the trainers to the coaching staff everyone is starting
to believe. We need as many fans as possible to come to the games, so
if you haven't purchased your season tickets, do so today.

Right you are - I always like reading interviews with Adami, because he really seems to speak without filtering his thoughts. He speaks honestly, not through chichés and generic say-nothing quotes. He's one funny guy, from what I've read.

Funny? Maybe off the field...but on the field I bet no one is laughing when they line up opposite him!
