Any truth to the rumor that Munlin hurt his hand in a car wreck and missed practice yesterday? Anyone know if he's OK? Any broken bones? Someone told me they read it in a "notes" section in today's DMN, but I don't get that paper over here.
Can someone verify?

Yep, its in the notes section of the DMN. Says a pickup truck hit him head on at Mockingbird, and Ross as he was headed to practice. He didn't go to the hospital, but he had his hand x-rayed, and the results will be known today.
If it weren't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all...

Oh man - hoping for the best.
Do whatever's necessary to get Munlin ready to go - especially since he's so amped up about the Tech game! Rest, rehab -- whatever. Got my fingers crossed.

I was unaware that Mockingbird and Ross intersected. In fact, I am certain they do not. Clearly this is a conspiracy.

Think this was floated out there so Tech would read it and figure they don't have to prepare for Munlin?
Good catch, jtstang.

Yep, his status will be listed as questionable until our first offensive series.

Did everyone read the story PF.com did on Foy? Remember that part about him dropping a bench press bar (with something like 400 pounds on it) INTO HIS MOUTH .... and when the doc said they'd fix his teeth the next day, he went back and finished his workout?
I'm betting you'd have to cut his arm off to make him miss the Tech game. This is one seriously tough young man.

He's back playing in his hometown.
He watched his new team go 0-12 last year.
He had to practice all year without getting into a game.
The first opponent is his former team, Tech, where they didn't think he was a perfect fit.
You might have to shoot him if you want to keep him out of this one. Bet the rent: he'll be there.

I don't doubt for a second that he will play, but will he be as effective? We need him to have a huge game against Tech and season.

Let's assume it's not broken until we learn otherwise.
Anyone know which hand it is? Is he equally comfortable with the ball in either hand? If he's like most backs, he needs to be able to switch the ball from one hand to the other. Hope this injury isn't too serious.

It's his left hand. Anybody heard anything?

If Munlin can't play, what about Massey? Wasn't he one of the better RB's coming out of high school when we recruited him. I would think that he would be just as ready to carry the load as Munlin.

From what I hear, I think Massey has SO FAR, been somewhat of a disappointment. Let's hope he gets better as he has the tools.
