Advice for a Blvd novice

Postby mrydel » Fri Aug 27, 2004 2:23 pm

I will be arriving in Dallas mid day Saturday and checking into the Radisson across the street from SMU. Any advice on when to head over and where I might meet up with some of you upstanding supporters and you other ones too!!!! :D This will be my first experience and opportunity to see Ford and SMU since prior to the DP. I am excited about see us begin to work our way back up the ladder. Now remember, I am letterman from 1972 so any of you kids with advice must know that I have been there, done that, and mostly can't do it any more.

people will typically start showing up about 3 hours before kickoff and it really picks up about an hour and a half prior to the game.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

More than a few of us will be at my tent.. #1.. at 11-11:30. We'll have a TV for the early games and will start smoking the brisket. Also so lovely to get there early and enoy those young, sweet and clean chicas making the walk of shame that morning.

Yes boys and girls.. it's tailgating time!!

I can't wait to get back out on The Boulevard.
But I'm looking forward to the game even more.

You ALL come to the corner in front of the Meadows Building. I have a BLue Dodge Quad Cab truck now.
Bring a chait to sit on and we will talk, and watch all that goes on.

See Ya!

I regret that I will miss the opening game. My stupid youngest sister is getting married and screwing up all my plans. Could she fall in love some other time? Have fun on the Blvd mrydel. It is a hoot. Maybe we Arkie Ponies can meet before next week?

Sounds like a good idea Ponyte, if my job will allow it. I am kind of buried right now. I do not have the luxury of dealing with life and death, I have to deal with peoples money.

Arkpony, I will see you on the Blvd, and

Bus, I look forward to meeting you.

We'll be right next to the "Bus Stop".

Hey Bus that has a nice ring to it.

As for the "BLVD Novice".....the Blvd may look a bit empty several hours before the game........BUT about 90 minutes prior to kickoff.....LOOK OUT!...... the BLVD will be an incredible sight!

There is a real fashion parade of beautiful coeds, the smells of brats on the grill, and the excitement as another SMU Football season begins

Hopefully we can catch a break and maybe have a day of slightly cooler weather.

BTW...Blvd Novice you are welcome to stop by our tent for a free brat.....we will be about half way down the BLVD and have a bright red fitted table cover that says "GO MUSTANGS" .....our tent will say "The SMU Blvd - No Place Else"

C-ya there! ..........BEAT TECH!
