Took my crystal ball in for a tune-up recently, and when I got it home, I broke that thing out to see what's in store for the opener against Tech.

First pass: Chris Phillips (OK, the crystal ball had to warm up)

First reception: Blake Warren

First run: Chris Phillips

First tackle: Rico Harris

First field goal: Chris McMurtray (this crystal ball's brilliant)

First touchdown: Foy Munlin

First interception: Jonathan Lindley (didn't see that one coming, did you?)

First fumble forced: Alvin Nnabuife

First fumble recovered: Desmond Jones

First lead: SMU 7, Tech 3 (first quarter)

First deficit: Hmmm .... crystal ball doesn't seem to come up with an answer for that -- encouraging!

First penalty: Cory Muse (flag will be waved off when refs realize he really IS that fast.)

First TD return: Blake Warren
