Interesting travel plans for the Red Raiders...

According to the TT media guide, the Red Raiders will depart Lubbock on Friday afternoon for each of the team's six road games. They will fly via SWA charter. In each case, they will return home immediately after the game. They'll hold a team meeting and walk-through at home on Friday and will NOT practice at the away site. They will be staying at the Renaissance Hotel on Stemmons Freeway in Dallas on Friday night.

Seems like you'd have to have at least a TT red, and black dot security clearance to know what hotel they're stayin in. 8) Dont' think that would be printed in any media guide.

Maybe we should hold an "all nighter impromptu pep rally" outside their windows

Four words:
All night room service!

Allnight room service indeed....
Is there any NCAA rule against hiring strippers for the other team...keep them up past their bedtime...way past their bedtime? <heh heh>
Not that I would do anything like that...

I've got a copy of the 2004 Red Raider Official Media & Recruiting Guide. On page 65, under Travel Information, they list the names of ALL the hotels where the team will stay during the 2004 season. Interestingly, when they play TA$M, they're staying almost 50 miles away from College Station at the Del Lago Resort in Montgomery, TX!

When the band travels to ATM, they have to stay in Austin because of past death threats by Aggie students.

I'm suprised the team doesn't do the same.

After the way TT's fans acted during our school song and at other times during the game Saturday night, I now understand why.

Mr. Mustang: Do you really mean that? I cannot believe someone from SMU would write something like that. You just agreed with the death threats, yet trying to score a TD late in the game hurts your feelings??

You think that we all now hate Tech because of running up the score? Yea thats part of it but you sure werent at the game if you think thats the only reason.

35smu.... I am trying to follow your response..So you agree with death threats as well? You 2 should really reevaluate the kind of people you are. It is one thing to talk football on here, but yall are taking it way too far. By the way, I am interested...1. What was thrown on you and how do you know who threw it? and 2. Since you will not put up with it, what did you do about it? Come on a BBS and hide behind a computer whining about it. I had a couple of bad experiences with SMU fans too. I realize that every team has good and bad fans and that is part of life and the game. I have some great friends from SMU and you will not find me spitting on your degree or school like some of what I have heard on here over a football game.

Who said I agreed with it? The post about the death threats came from a Tech fan who frequents our board (WreckEm16) who has been suspiciously absent from this forum since Saturday night, by the way. But it's apparent that the actions of some Tech fans at previous A&M games has prompted that kind of response from the 12th Man faithful. Do I condone it? No. Do I understand why some Aggies - not Mustangs - perhaps have done it? Yes.

You do not condone it? but you understand it? So you do not condone the death threats, but you understand them...right..makes a lot of sense. You either agree with it or you don't.. Stop dancing Kerry.

Take off your blinders, WD. Read what I wrote. I feel like I'm trying to teach a pig to sing.

Webster's defines 'condone' as: "to forgive, pardon or overlook." None of which I do for the past actions of what may have been Aggies. Death threats are not cool. Period.

When I say I understand it, it's because of the source and the actions that precipitated it.

As for calling me 'Kerry' and saying that I'm 'dancing', I find that humorous coming from someone that calls themself 'WrigleyDog'.

since you brought it up, Webster's also defines the word 'understand' as
-to show a sympathetic or tolerant attitude toward something
and they offer a synonym of "appreciate"

I take back the Kerry comment because I try not to say anything on here I would not say to your face and I probably would not say that.

I do believe you are dancing. I truly do not believe you do not believe death threats are cool, but I still cannot believe you would ever in any way defend or "understand" one. Admit you were wrong so we can stop having this conversation.

By the way, I do not appreciate the WrigleyDog comment. You do not have a clue and you show your own vulnerabilities as a human making any kind of judgement. And I hope you do not "call" yourself MrMustang1965 as I do not have my wife refer to me as WrigleyDog. There is something behind it, but that is all you need to know or care.

Like trying to teach a pig to sing.

I worked for the Houston Police Department. I've seen more about DEATH than you'll ever see in your lifetime. One example: a woman drowning her five children in a bathtub. I don't condone it but I know enough about the case to understand what prompted her to do it.

You're calling me a liar when you say: "I truly do not believe you do not believe death threats are cool, but I still cannot believe you would ever in any way defend or "understand" one." I publicly admitted on a BB that I did not think it was cool. And stated: PERIOD.

"Admit you were wrong so we can stop having this conversation." I'll admit I'm wrong when Mike Leach admits he was wrong in trying to score one more TD with :05 left and he already had the game won. We know that ain't gonna happen, don't we?

And, yes...I do call myself 'Mr. Mustang 1965' when I'm meeting people from this board in person. As for your name of 'WrigleyDog', what does your wife have to do with anything we've said? I apologize if I've been insensitive towards something near to your heart...whatever it is.

I'm through with this conversation. I've annoyed the pig and it's been a waste of my time.
