What a classless jerk - recruiting implications

Good for Bennett for confronting that jerk. Texas Tech, you can go to he**.

The great news about this is that there were recruits in the stands trying to choose between SMU and TT. And who, in their right mind, would want to go play for a jerk like that, or let their son play for a jerk like that, when we obviously have an up and coming team and a team that plays with class.

Kiss my a**, you a** clown sand aggies. I will be rooting against you every game of the season.

Oh, and Bennett just gave an extremely classy response in his post-game interview. What a difference in the two teams.

Too bad someone didn't cut the cables to the elevator that sorry SOB got stuck on during halftime. That was [deleted] poor on Tech's part but then again, this seems to be trend with that school. What goes around, comes around. I hope that whatever team does it to them, bends them over and makes them feel like they're in an episode of Oz.

The game is called football. Leach's philosophy is to score everytime we have the ball. We have an inexperienced QB who needs more practice in the Redzone.

Quit your whining. Leave it on the field. Your coach's outburst was totally unacceptable. This is football, not a charity ball. Your job is to try and stop us, ours is to try and score.

Y'all played your hearts out tonight. Your coach's rage issues aside, you look like a better team this year.

Horsesh!t. The "job" is to win the football game. You guys aren't playing for BCS points. Win the game and get off the field. I hope that you feel the same way when Oklahoma beats your @ss by 50. It was a classless move... and by the way, the Tech fans in the Northeast corner showed a real lack of class as well.

I'm not sure what coach Bennett said but thumbs up to him for confronting Leach, and thumbs up to our team for not letting them score.

PS - It's your kicker who needs the work, even moreso than your QB.

Welcome to the world of Football. Sometimes you'll get beat. You didn't get beat by much, so kudos to your team. Our team was breaking in a new QB who needs more practice getting into the redzone. There is NOTHING in the rulebook that forbids teams from trying to score in regulation. There are however LAWS against assault.

Classless? Hey pot, this is the kettle.

Last time we saw the alcoholic Leach, his guys were performing the "exploding grenade" stunt vs. the Naval Academy.

Tonight, an encore performance for the classless clown.

Players from Allen High School were sitting all around me. The majority of them were commenting that SMU is much improved over last year...especially the D. They all left the game with about 7:00 on the board. They didn't see Leach's attempt (which FAILED!) at a final TD nor the 'post-game' activities.

Leach was just trying to do at the end of the game what they couldn't really accomplish during the game, score. He was frustrated all night and thought he could take some of it out on our tired guys at the end of the game and make the score somewhat respectable for the sand aggies back in lubbock who didn't get to see the game. Guess What? It failed!

SMU's defense stopped the great, much hearld, tt offense all night long in the red zone. No doubt, tt will show that same offense prowess against OU and UT. tt has a weak team. No running game, no red zone offense and absolutely no field goals. The defense is weak s well. This may well be tt high point. Beating up on a botom 10 team sure does make one stick out their chest with pride. As too class acts, i witnessed Bear Bryant in a very similar situation call time out and berate his QB for trying to score a meaningless TD late in the game. That is class.

Based on last night's ending, it's clear that Bennett is a crybaby who's more interested in having people feel sorry for his team than creating a killer instinct in his players.

In the grand scheme of things, maybe his "poor us" mentality is the reason SMU hasn't won a game since 2002. When OU did the same thing to us (scored late in the game while up by a big margin) at their place a few season ago, Leach's comment was "it's our responsibility to stop them and we didn't". Conversely, Bennett's response is to run across the field charging at the opposing coach yelling all sorts of expletives and starting a brawl.

Yeah, like Mike Leach is going to say anything bad about his buddy Bob Stoops even if he did run up the score on him. Give me a break. After all, we all know how hard Stoops was trying to "stop" from scoring 70 against A&M last year. And I say this even though I enjoyed the fact that they did that after A&M rolled over hapless Baylor earlier in the season.

Mike Leach being buddies with Bob Stoops isn't the issue. The bottom line is that Leach didn't whine and moan about it, he just said it's not OU's responsiblity to not score, it's Tech's responsibility to stop them. Bennett did just the opposite, and it basically suggests to his players that SMU's team should be pitied. SMU's players deserve better than to be made to feel like they are so bad that other teams should roll over for them, especially considering how they made the plays to stop the Tech offense.
