The Frog coach was on Channel 5 tonight. Mostly talked about his own team, but they touched (briefly) on the upcoming game, and was complimentary.

Nothing of note, really. He started by saying that with this game, you throw out the records. He also said Phil Bennett is a great coach, and that he has us on the right track to get back to where we need to be, but that some people don't realize the growth process that goes into rebuilding a program. And he said that because it's a rivalry game, he expects both teams to play hard, etc.

Kinda reminds folks of the BS Tom Osborne use to spout out right before Nebraska played Southwest Texas School for the Deaf, Dumb, and Blind. Fact is, nobody will take us seriously until we beat them. Beat TCU and in '05 they will take us seriously. The same holds true for Ok state, Boise State and others. We have to win, not just play opponents close.

Despite our effort last night, until we actually beat Tech, they will not take SMU seriously.

Actually, I think you're underestimating TCU. They will definitely take SMU seriously, especially after the close game last year.
