Interesting screen name, considering the series is separated by a single game.

TCU has beaten SMU 5 years straight, by a combined score of 158-36. We are consistently Top 25 and in the running for BCS Bowl, while SMU hasn't won a game in two years. This is DOMINATION. We have you bent over, more than any other rivalry in college football. After this year, that will be 6 years straight.

Six-in-a-row is nothing. SMU beat the froggies 15 consecutive from '72-'86 and 19-out-of-21 if you go back to '66.

TCU being a superior education and a more elite academic school is not news. TCU has been ahead of SMU for the past 3 years in-a-row. TCU is now more selective than UT, and second in the state behind Rice. The application rate to TCU for 2004-2005 was 8,059. That is an increase of 5.3% over 2003 and 31.3% over 2002.
TCU offered admission to 63.9% of applicants. In 2003 it was 64.9%. In 2002 it was 71.4%. That admission rate makes TCU as the second most selective university in the state, after Rice. It's a lower admission rate than SMU, Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UH, and UNT.
The 2004 freshman class numbers approximately 1,620 (exact final number still to come), which is the largest freshman class in TCU history. It is not only the largest, but the most accomplished. The average SAT score was 1175. (In 2003 it was 1168. In 2002 it was 1134.) The average high school class rank of these freshmen was #20.

This is 2004, not 1966. I only wish it was 1935, when TCU was ranked #2 and SMU ranked #1...SMU won the game but later lost in Bowl game and TCU won bowl game finishing as National Champions.

dude you are smokin' some kind of ft. worth crack cocaine. tcu never has been and is not now the academic equivalent of SMU.
you've got a superior football program at this point in time, i'll admit. but please be as honest with yourself man. any one of us could have gone to tcu and i bet most of us didn't even consider it. i didn't even know where it was (and still not really sure

Great supporting facts to your point. Well I guess you were #20 in your graduating class and had better than 1200, but most of your SMU classmates didn't....and therefore were passed over by TCU. These are the simple facts. To make you feel better, SMU has much better grad schools, but that's not saying much. As for undergrad, it has become very clear who is superior.

Last time i checked TCU and SMU were ranked in the same tier according to US News......................we don't even need to discuss football rankings do we

I wouldn't start defending your education by saying "I live in Dallas but am not really sure where Ft. Worth is"
