Bet with Tarrant County University neighbor

My neighbor is a guy named Mike Black a 89' to 92 or so player for TCU. Nice guy but he picked the wrong school. Forest Gregg offered him a ship back when he went to Berkner.
Anyway: we have a bet that SMU covers the point spread. I think that is 23 right now. I can see us playing a GREAT GAME and winning. The loser has to cook dinner and provide drinks for the other AND has to fly the other schools flag in their front yard for a week.
I have never bet money on sports ( I guess because I am poor ) but for this week with our Mustangs - I'm In.
Go Mustangs

its time to break two streaks with one stone: overall streak and TCUs five year run. Its going to take a senior like Allan Adami to step up and say ENOUGH, play the game of his life and get the others to do the same. 60 minutes of hell and bring the skillet back to Dallas.

I think our D will be improved, but TCU's O is running on 12 cylinders...I don't think we can keep up if we get into a scoring match.
Tye Gunn, those WRs and those 2 RBs are truly excellent.
Our only hope is to slow the game down, by running big Foy and our larger OL against a very green TCU Dline and overall D.
If we can keep their O off the field, keep them from 'hummin', like we did to TTech 2 years ago, we might have a chance...

I agree GRGB that for us to be successful this can not be a scoring match. If TCU gets into the 30s we're toast.

Our recent history says if they get in the teens we are toast. Our offense needs to pick it up and score some points. Our defense will do ok, but that does not mean holding TCU under 11 or 12 points. Hopefully we will see some improved timing and vertical throws this weekend.

If our defense is better, holding their offense under 18.5 should not be a problem. That is the average they have scored against us in the past two years. I would like to point out that NW's defense was awful. That contributed to the scoring that TCU put out there. Also, we should not have too hard of a time scoring because NW is not a big scoring team either, but was able to score 45 points (really around 54 points if you count the field goals that would have been good with any other Big 10 team) on them. NW averaged 17 points last year and most of the lower scores were against the non-big ten schedule.
