no moral victories against frogs

On Smumustangs.coms game preview they recap last year's game. I knew we made a respectable showing, but I forgot how good of a football game that really was. Lots of back and forth, and was a tie game at 13-13 with 10 minutes left. Hopefully the days of getting ripped by these clowns (no offense Reed) is over. Tommorrow its key to make sure we weren't satisfied with last years showing against TCU and last weeks "moral" victory against Tech. Its gonna take anger and a lot of resolve to have a chance at a win. I hope the angry as hell Mustangs show up looking to get some revenge.

Could not agree more, Hoop. The time has come to EAT FROG MEAT.

How long do you think it would take Bennett to cook frog legs for the entire team on Sunday, using that one tiny skillet? 8)

No offense taken...I would hate TCU too if I were an SMU fan. :D However, us clowns will still rip SMU either way because our academics are far superior to yours (please note sarcasm here). Seriously though, I am hoping last year's game was closer than it should have been since we were comig off that big loss at So Miss and were due for a let-down (and yes that is an excuse). Of course, outside of Cincy last year, we can't seem to blow anyone out. If I were Bennett, I would just try to keep hanging around until the 4th quarter, play conservative and give yourself a chance to win a close game. Good luck starting this Sunday!

Me too. I will be pleased with visible improvement - moreso than Coach Bennett will - but I want a win.

And thanks for the encouragement, ReedF - you're the classiest Frog I know of. (I can't believe I wrote that! But you're a good addition to our board.) Good luck to you as well .... starting NEXT week. Beat the hell out of Tech, and make them feel it. Run it up. (And tell your team that's the big game for you - tomorrow's not worth their full attention. )

I can't believe any purple-blooded Frog fan like Reeder is concerned about the SMU football team when we have to worry about that damned Pony band. What have they got up their sleeves next? Fescue seed? Grass killer? God only knows.

You fellas need to recognize that "Settle it on the field" has nothing to do with the halftime show. That's dirty pool! (But damned evilly clever, I admit.)
