For someone who knows more than I, with most of the LB corp out of action, is Bennett going to shuffle some players around to fill or is he going to pull up the Freshmen or pull some redshirts, if there are any? It seems most of these injuries are season ending, do you move DE or the bigger safeties from the 2 deep or move up the 3-4 deep backups?

The only true freshman LBs who are considered ready are Wilton McCray and Landon Dyer, and they're already playing. There's a walk-on named Booker who's supposed to be pretty good, but he's redshirting (injured). There might well be another walk-on or two.
I don't get the sense they want to bump Cory Muse back from DE, where they think he might be a future star. They might move a safety up, but who? With Nnabuife hurt, Fitzgerald and Sturdivant become even more crucial at the safety spots than they already were. What other safeties could we throw out there? Robert Gilmore? Travis Hunt?

Mccray did a great job at fill in last week but it is clear the team is very thin all of a sudden at a position which at the beginning was one of our strongest. With a running team like OSU the middle is critical. Maybe Bonds could fill in or Karrington since he played three positions last week alone. That was just a nervous joke. The d- coaches have their hands full going forward for the rest of the season. My guess we will have to take a lot more chances to offset the stability lost. Go Ponies !
