I hope Tech wins.

I don't understand the position of wishing the worst for a team we stayed close with. Let Tech make last week look like a bad game for them. Make the close game we played them valid. And most of all shut localcoach up! I'm tired of that computer geek that has nothing better to do but heckle someone else's fan board.

I would prefer a 0-0 tie.

Yeah, I was ready to support TCU on this, but that jerk has definitely changed my mind. Go Raiders beat the crap out of TC and U.

Looking at it the other way: say TT lights up the Frogs, really wipes them out. How bad does that make our loss to TCU look then? Then we can say we hung tough with a pretty good TT team (but not great - see the UNM game), and got smoked by a team that wasn't that good in the first place? No thanks. It goes against every fiber in my being, but I'm pulling for the guys from FW.

I don't want the froggies so much as mentioned when it comes to the BCS. This kind of win will get that mention. I know that it would be better for both schools if we were both good, but that is not the attitude that TCU has taken so I will follow suit and not take that attitude either. We have all season to make those games irrelevant. I want TCU beat and their hopes destroyed. If the Big 12 has to dominate us then I hope it dominates TCU as well.

For every supposed TCU "fan" that comes onto your board and acts like a jerk, there are other TCU fans with class - as with any school.
Also, I know I was pulling big-time for the Ponies and while I wouldn't expect any SMU fans to actively pull for TCU, I find it hard to believe that you would pull for Tech after what happened at the end of your game. Leach is a jerk and I was very happy to see them lose to "lowly" UNM last week...but the Tech fans have plenty of excuses judging by the TCU Forum.
Good luck against OSU!

You are right about that. You, Sir, are always welcome.

While I respect your sentiments Reedfrawg, I would also point out that TCU fans were much more disrespectful to SMU than Tech fans. I also would like to point out that Gary Patterson has pretty much made it like TCU had a bad game the past 2 years they played us. While that may be true it's not cool to say. You always give props to a lowly team that comes close to beating you. Patterson didn't. That's kind of classless too. Not to mention the Cross town whipping boy cry. Tech didn't so much as throw a tortilla this year. Forgive me, but I hope TCU gets blown out. On the whole TCU fans have loved the fact that we got the death penalty and that we have been bad for the last almost 20 years. So, I will return that feeling and hope that they get killed by Tech. Maybe, TCU really is sooooo much better than all the big 12 teams. But TCU fans are acting like lubbock is a cake walk. Even OSU fans still fear Tech. WATCH OUT FROGS...here comes an early loss.

Wow, that's one helluva education you got. Next time, try not to use it all in one place.

I'm just glad there is going to be an interesting, entertaining TV game on the early T.V. time slot. That's one thing that the Big 12 has generally failed to provide. Instead we get to watch something like Indiana v Illinois or Boston College v West Virgina. Who cares? Prior to the season I thought Tech would take this one in Lubbock-now I'm not so sure.

I hear that. If I never see another Wisconsin game on TV at noon on Saturday it will be too soon! Why does ESPN love Wisconsin...they always play those exciting 18-3 games like last week against UNLV.
And for everyone that wants to pull against TCU, I have no problem with that. I just wouldn't pull for Tech if the roles were reversed. Someone said pull for a 0-0 tie..I guess that would be me. I don't think I'd pull for Tech against anybody in the country - even Notre Dame.

I am sure that most TCU fans fear Tech - especially in Lubbock. Don't let the words of a small handful of TCU "fans" fool you. And don't forget that we stunk for 30 years (without back-to-back winning seasons from the 60s to the 90s) so we know the feeling.
As for Coach Patterson's comments, I don't remember anything being written that he bad-mouthed SMU. And I am not just dodging the subject...I didn't know it was an issue with any SMU fans.
Sorry you had a bad experience with some TCU "fans" - probably young folks. At any rate, have you ever been to an SMU-Tech game in Lubbock since they started winning - say the last 5-6 years? That might be a more fair comparison between TCU and Tech fans (both at their home stadium) IMHO. I've heard that the Tech fans are a rude bunch at their house...of course it probably just depends what group of fans you come across at the visiting stadium...the majority will treat you well and the minority will act like [deleted].
