Is this a \"must win\" game?

Honest question. I know, I know, of course it isn't must win because there's 7 more games, but I think this qualifies. Starting 0-4, or likely 0-5 with Boise the next game, would be, in my opinion, disasterous to team and fan moral. There probably won't be another game all year that we'll be favored to win. 1-3 gives this team hope, let's them know what its like to win, and gives us a 1-0 start in the conference. A loss to one of the few teams perceived to be worse than us, at home, would be horrible.
So, is this a "must win" game in your opinion?

yes....other than Neveda I don't think there are any other games on the schedule that are winnable for us right now. Neither of these games will be an assured win. If we don't win this Saturday I look for us to have another 0fer season.

Yes, because of the attendance implications if for no other reason.

Absolutely. This is a 100%, pull out all the stops, must win game.

Am I the only one who hesitates to read any thread Dooby has posted in, just because of the avatar image?
H-ll yes, it's a must win!

There is no option now, it's a must win or go 0-23.

Mustang Stealth, you have a very valid point. I'm afraid our alumna depicted in Dooby's avatar is somewhat less than hot.
As to the game, I would agree that it is a must in many respects at this juncture.

Anyone know how I can have a Paige Davis avatar show up?
Yes, the game is a must-win. For our own morale, the team, and...dare I say...Coach Bennett.

Yeah, sure, ok, fine. It's hard to say with these incredibly bad breaks on injuries.
MUST WIN: SJSU, yep. And so is Rice, Tulsa, & Nevada. Who else?
Minimum 4 wins??? These guys are gonna surprise everybody, but themselves...

Hey, if anybody wants to send me pics of some of our more "nubile" alumni, I am more than willing to consider a change.
But not Page Davis. Too wholesome.

Never thought in my wildest dreams we would ever be playing SJSU in a MUST WIN game, but yes, we are. A loss will likely send us into depths our minds can't fathom.

OK, maybe it's because I started on scotch this morning instead of coffee, but I don't think this is a must-win game. It's a SHOULD-win game, and god knows we need a win. However, if we do some things significantly better -- and stay healthy -- the season can be salvaged with a couple of later wins. Of course, that means we need to beat UTEP, Nevada, maybe LaTech or someone .... With the walking wounded we've got now, any win is going to be tough. But say we get four sacks, a couple of takeaways and get Munlin untracked -- that would have to be viewed as progress. Significant progress. If that turns out to be a step we can build on, then this isn't an absolute must-win.
Otherwise, we've got to beat the Spartans!
