who ever said maturity, size and speed mattered in football?? San Jose takes it too the utter extreme, but the fact is you have to take grade risks to compete in D-1 football. Duh, what a concept I know. The key is finding the right balance of risk and reward for your school.
I don't know that our chances did go down with that news. Phillips, I think, has the most raw physical ability of the three. However, there have been times when he seems to run the offense with no rhythm and seemed a little out of sync. Maybe the older guys picked up the offense a little faster, or maybe they were able to learn while observing as CP played. Whatever the reason, I think we're going to be OK with these two.
We're still going to win Saturday!
I think this bolds well for us........37 Jucos......Eckert and Romo have a combined total of 15 wins last year against Juco schools!
San Jose Junior College doesn't stand a chance now.... I hope Phillips gets well soon. Hope he can tear it up our first year in CUSA!
i don't think we are in any position to be predicting any big wins over anybody, particularly in our most recent game they beat us and i've yet to see that we are anything but marginally better.
of course, i HOPE you're right, and i'll be there to pull for the team, but my expectations have been managed to the lowest level.

Now THERE's the right perspective!
