Rice vs. UT, the great white (& blue) hope

With Rice having won five games in a row, you can almost hope for a major upset over UT. Wouldn't that be great for a small privarte school in a non-BCS conference? If the Owls can be competitive, why can't SMU?

Last year Rice lost to UT what 48-0 or something like that. Let's wait and see how they do before we want to emulate them. In fact we've been unfortunately trying to emulate them for the last 15 yars.

Maybe we should try and emulate TCU (overall football program management) or Wake Forest. Both of these smaller schools seem to do pretty well in D1 football.

UT is shredding the number one rushing defense. Thank goodness SMU doesn't play Texas this year.

Rice played a good defensive seocnd half against UT. Wish we could do the same.
