Jerseys at Boise State?

So...I've noticed that each time this year that Boise State's been on TV on the Smurf Turf that they've worn blue jerseys. Just wondering: will the Mustangs wear their red (home jerseys?) or blue jerseys or are there white jerseys we haven't seen yet? When the BSU players are wearing their blue unis, they kind of 'blend in' with the Smurf Turf. Sure would be nice if we could get away with that, too!

I'd bet on white jerseys. No real basis for that guess, but that's my hunch.

alldallasfan wrote::P They will probably wear the white road jerseys that they wore at Oklamhoma State, the same white road jerseys they wore last year on the road. Guess you haven't seen them play many road games. Here's a hint NFL and College football, one team must wear WHITE JERSEYS.
Have only seen the Mustangs play TCU on the road this year and I couldn't recall which jerseys they wore in Cowtown.

I vote we accidently pack our blue jerseys, and dye some old practice pants blue. Blue smurf turf, both teams in all blue....sounds like a plan

I'm not sure if it is a Div-1 rule that they be white. I've seen teams that had gold (yellow) away Jerseys which they would wear. I think the rule is probably clearly distinctive from the home team's Jersey.

Do we have blue jerseys this year? I know we have worn red at both home games and white at TCU. I didn't make it to Ok.St.

It would be harder for us to see blue on blue than Boise who is used to the field. Wear white. Our QBs need to be able to spot our receivers.

Good point.

Although I do wish they'd break out the blue unis at home. Especially if they could dust off the royal blue from a few years back - those were the best we had (although that'll never happen with the navy blue helmets we have).

Ed Davidson, the Ponies' equipment manager told me that while the players had no say about their names being on their jerseys, they were allowed to pick their home jersey color. They chose red.

If we wear white, our QB's will see our receivers, but they won't see their defensive backs blending into the turf ready to pick off our passes. Then again, when the Orioles used to play in Memorial Stadium in Baltimore, there were white houses across the street. Jim Palmer working on his motion so that his pitches came right out of that white background. If you can make it work, so much the better. Hopefully, Bennett will put grass green (maize) jerseys on our defenders in practice so that the QB's can practice dealing with the invisibility factor.
