"Fast-forward to 2004 when, despite public pleas from the players for the community to come out and support the team, only 32,893 tickets were sold or distributed for a 19-7 SU victory over the Bearcats that improved the team's record to 2-1."

Don't you feel sorry for those guys, drawing that measly attendance?

Any idea as to how many season ticket holders we have?

If you have ever been to Upstate NY, you would realize that there is absolutely nothing to do. Syracuse is much like SMU - good academic school (not great), good size for a private school (about 6 - 7k undergrads). It is understandable for them to get around 30 - 40k to FB games because both alums and locals go to the games. With the break up of the BE and the loss of BC, VT & Miami from their schedule, 'Cuse is going to have to work harder to draw fans...Oh well, they keep winning the lacrosse championships.
