Key to beating UTEP

UTEP has one good player. OK, there are more, but WR Lee Mays is a major stud. Preseason nominee for the Biletnikoff Award. From what I remember, he's always done well against SMU, too. Fortunately, Rocky Perez is gone, so they don't have the same gun getting the ball to Mays. But we need to have KG or Jonas to shadow him everywhere, and maybe get a safety to run with him for double coverage. Shut him down and we shut down the Miners. We also should be able to run the ball against the Miners - they haven't stopped ANYONE lately.

Anyone know how UTEP did today?

Not so fast, my friend!
UTEP's game at San Jose State just started 15 minutes ago.

And food for thought: LaTech BARELY lost to Auburn, which you'll remember beat then-#1 Florida last week. And Hawaii slapped Tulsa today.

WAC isn't as bad as some thought.

Never saw a UTEP/San Jose State score in the NYTimes today. How did it end up?
