tcu beet rider Ralph Alonzo obviously has pull: Two big action photos of frog football page 15c. The high schooler they assigned to cover the SMU Mustangs (Dallas' only Div. 1 program) must have been busy working on a transfer from his low-performing DISD school.

Of course, as a writer, Rick Alonzo has no say in how many photos (or which photos or the size of any photos) appear in the paper. But I think they do like him at DMN. He's pretty good. Personally, I think Calvin Watkins is better, though.
