I can't count the number of people I've talked to that are furious over TV52's disaster last night. I am sure Bennett had alot of recruits ready to watch as well, that situation only made SMU look bad! If you want to get this off your chest try the email and phone!!!

Channel 52 failure!

Postby Special_Delivery_Smu_Fans » Sun Oct 03, 2004 5:10 pm

KFWD Channel 52 also had the time of the Boise game listed wrong all week on the SMU Tab of their sports page of their web-site. I called and complained about the time being wrong and they said they would fix it immediately. It took them at least 24 hours to correct it. The guy said "well it's right in the program guide.....and I said "well great, but you need to correct it on the sports page too!"

Channel 52 needs to apologize and get their act together!

from the DMN:

Saturday night's game was to be televised on KFWD-TV Ch. 52 through the SportsWest WAC package. But a satellite receiver was down at the Dallas-area station. Several calls to the station by SMU officials went unanswered.

Ch. 52 general manager Wayne Casa did not return a call seeking comment.

The game was, however, televised on ESPN's GamePlan, a pay-per-view package.

I can understand them not calling back an upset fan, but they didn't even call the school back? Nice outfit they're running up there.

This is the email I received from Tony Montes the station manager If I remember right.

Unfortunately, the station was not able to receive the signal of the game for rebroadcast on Saturday night. We humbly apologize for any incontinence this may have cause you. Thank you for watching.

Incontinence? Is that what Montes said it may have caused? Mustangs35SMU may be right about grounds for a lawsuit if this is the case!

"Incontinence"?

Other than wanting to 'whiz' on the tv when 52 wouldn't work on Sat. nite, has anyone con't to have bladder problems because of missing the BSU-SMU game?

If so, call the number on the back cover of the Yellow Pages!!!!!!!
