Chris Foster and Alvin Nnabuife were nominated for the WAC's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week Awards, respectively.

Other SMU notes from the WAC:

Chris Foster had 125 receiving yards at Boise State, the first 100-yard
receiving game for the Mustangs since John Hampton had 124 against UTEP on Nov. 16, 2002 ... became the last team in the country with a turnover gained when Alvin Nnabuife picked off a Boise State pass and returned it 53 yards for a touchdown ... Tony Eckert started at quarterback and was 8-of-19 for 134 yards and a touchdown with an interception ... Jerad Romo also played and was 9-of-16 for 115 yards and a touchdown pass ... has the nation's youngest team with 58 freshmen and 28 sophomores on their 113-man roster (76 percent of the squad), far and away the most in Division IA.

Congrats indeed.
That's two weeks in a row that Foster's been nominated. I'm guessing he might be put on scholarship in the spring.

I believe Bennett said in his PC that he has already been put on scholarship.

Class move by Coach Bennett - that's normally something that happens in the spring. To do it now reflects very well on Coach B, and of course, on Chris. Congratulations to him. Well deserved.
