I hope many of you guys and gals plan on making the trip to Rice this weekend. I hear they do not draw much support from fans; so it would be a great opportunity to have lots of red & blue in the stands.
You can get tickets through SMU for $22.00 or you can call 713-348-4068.
Tickets are as low as $5 for the upperdeck & you can easily move down from what I am told.
Just 11 easy steps
1: Start out going West on DANIEL AVE toward HILLCREST AVE. <0.1 miles Map
2: Turn LEFT onto HILLCREST AVE. 0.7 miles Map
3: Turn LEFT onto MOCKINGBIRD LN. 0.4 miles Map
4: Stay straight to go onto N CENTRAL EXWY/US-75 S. 0.1 miles Map
5: Merge onto US-75 S via the ramp- on the left. 4.6 miles Map
6: US-75 S becomes I-45 S. 239.1 miles Map
7: Merge onto US-59 S via exit number 46B toward VICTORIA. 1.4 miles
8: Take the FANNIN ST exit. 0.1 miles Map
9: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto FANNIN ST. 1.0 miles Map
10: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT. <0.1 miles Map
11: End at 6100 MAIN ST HOUSTON TX

Is anybody going to bring the fake Owl on a stick with a butcher knife through it's chest?

Travel notes for the trip to Houston. Major construction underway south of Corsicana that backs up traffic from the town of Mustang (yes, you read that right!) into Corsicana on weekends and holidays. LEAVE EARLY TO AVOID DELAYS! or take a detour that is indicated on I-45 as you're going by Corsicana...this detour takes you to the east of I-45 and brings you out just north of Fairfield. I suggest it if you're leaving Dallas after 10 a.m.
Speed traps to watch out for on I-45: Wilmer, Corsicana, Fairfield, Centerville, Madisonville, Huntsville & Conroe.

Hey Big Al,
Be prepared to stop about every 25 miles so Big Horse can make a rest stop.
Remember that Tulsa trip a few years ago, Big Horse?? I thought we'd never make kick-off with as many times as we had to stop!!
Enjoy a bowl of Owl soup.

Owl soup? Be sure to save room for a little Bulldog next week. (Sounds like a tasty combination, huh?)
Does Rice have a fans board like this? They used to have one that I knew of (forget the URL), but it seems to have gone under. Anyone know of one that's still operating?

Just got word that the $5 tickets available will be going up to $14 on game day.
It is a good idea to purchase over the phone 713-348-4068.
If you purchase over the phone you will also receive a free program & drink.
See you guys there!
