Posted: Sat Oct 09, 2004 10:23 pmBennett out. Solich or whomever else will do the job in. Bennett's a defensive expert, right? At the highest college level, right? Isn't stopping the option a fundamental kind of thing that should be second nature to accomplish for a high-level defensive expert?
Maybe I'm being too harsh after a game, but win some damn games and these post-game funks won't happen so often.

He showed against Tech, San Jose and even (although to a lesser degree) Boise that his guys are starting to show an ability to defend conventional offenses. If they perfect that and get lit up by an option team every year, I can stomach that (maybe). I'd like to see them hold their own against other teams down the stretch here - that will help me get past this game.
