Then why does not one person on the SMU campus no about Ponyfans.com??????!??!???!? No freakin' current smu students even know about this freakin' thing....I'm so sick of that freakin' argument I can't stand it....if you can't take the criticism don't play football!!!!!!!!!simple as that. When I'm on this site in the library other students will say to me "we have fans?" Just stop with the whole we're hurting the recruiting process by talking bad about our team crap. That's not possible. If someone wants to come here it's because they want to be a part of bringing our program back. It's not because they want to be a part of a winning team. We don't recruit players that stupid (although we should).

Every student I know reads this site, including my neighbors - who are SMU student-athletes.

Maybe you ought to tell some of your buddies out in Mesquite about SMU.

If recruits care about what they read here, then let them know that the appeal of a losing team is that they can start here sooner than other places and help rebuild a once proud program. Truth be known, we are better off with a hurt, disappointed alumni who will lobby to get a better team that will appeal to blue chippers too. It shows we still care. Woe to SMU the day there is no one left to complain, and believe me that day is coming unless things are made better.

Most people on campus dont' read this site because they don't care about football, or have any real alligiance with SMU. Someone made a comment about burnt orange and white flowers at the entrance to Bishop. More current students will be glad to see these flowers matching the lettering on their hat than see anything wrong with it.

I graduated several years ago, but my sister goes there now, so I still know a couple dozen students through her. She's the only one out of that group who doesn't read this site religiously. And I'm working on her, too! (At least she goes to the games.)

O.K. I'll admit it. I'm out of the loop on this. What lettering on a hat would match the flowers unless you're wearing a "U.T." ballcap?

Duh. Many of the SMU students, if not most of them wear clothing and accessories with the names and colors of other schools (such as UT) rather than SMU garb. Just one of many problems with the student attitudes on campus.

It is good to know that other students pay any attention to this site. However, I don't think that very many do. Maybe you have a lot of friends dedicated to our athletic programs and that's great. However, I know a lot of people and most of them don't give a dang about this site or our football program. Many of them enjoy the fact that we lose and that's pathetic.
